You can now see how often your pages are opened
A studio that has claimed its card can now see how many times its pages were opened, day by day. Not a guess and not an estimate — the same visits our own server recorded.
Every studio in the register has pages here.
There is the studio's own card. There are the pages of the websites whose footers carry its signature — the pages that answer the question who made this site.
People open them. Until now, only we knew how often.
That has changed.
A studio that has proved its domain will find a new Statistics section in its cabinet.
What the number is
One number: visits.
It counts every opening of the studio's card and every opening of a page about a site the studio signed, added together.
The chart below it breaks the same number down by day, thirty days back.
If a site was signed by two studios — and that happens, footers are not always tidy — the visit counts for both. It is equally their page.
The chart is not empty on the first day
We did not start counting today.
Our server has been writing down every request for a long time, and those records are the same visits.
So the first chart a studio sees already reaches back to 15 September, not to the moment it first opened the page.
The register has always preferred a measurement that already exists to a number that starts from zero because it is convenient.
What we do not do
We do not set cookies.
We do not follow anyone from page to page.
We do not know who visited, and we are not trying to find out.
A visit here means exactly one thing: a page was opened. Nothing about the person who opened it is kept, and nothing is passed to anybody.
Why a register shows this at all
Most directories tell an agency how many people saw its profile as an argument for paying them more.
That is not what this is.
The register exists because the work studios do is visible in the footers of the web and nowhere else. Showing a studio how often that evidence is being read is simply the other half of the same idea.
You can see the number. So can we. It is the same number.
Not claimed your studio yet? Find it here — proving the domain takes a few minutes, and the statistics are waiting behind it.
