Be the first studio to tell Nomansite what to build. For example:
Report a wrong studio card
Recognition · Voting
Anyone can flag a card: wrong data, not a studio at all, or a place in the ranking it should not have.
The register is built by machines reading footers, and machines make mistakes: a shop or an accountant lands among studios, a country is wrong, a studio holds a place it did not earn. A "Report" link on every card and every ranking row lets anyone say what is wrong — wrong data, not a studio, wrongly ranked, a duplicate — with a short note.
Every report is checked by an editor. Fixed mistakes leave the register and the rankings, and the person who reported hears back.
A monthly review of the market
Recognition · Voting
Every month: what changed among the studios of the world, from the data of the register.
On the first of every month, with the new snapshot, Nomansite publishes a review: which countries and cities grew, which studios rose and fell, what stacks are winning, what prices do. Short, with figures, open to everyone and easy to quote.
Reading footers in twenty languages
The register · Shipped
"Made by", "Website by", "Разработка сайта", "Realizzazione" — one reader for all of them.
The crawler learns to read the credit line in twenty languages and to tell a studio from a hosting company or a CMS.
Launch report · 6 Jul 2026
The footer reader goes live in the Chakloon.net crawler.
Studio surveys and market analytics
Community · Voting
A regular survey of studios — prices, workload, teams, tools — published as open analytics.
Once a season studios answer a short survey: what they charge, how busy they are, how big their teams are, what they build with. The answers are published as analytics by country and city, and every studio that took part sees where it stands.
Regular news of studio movements
Community · Voting
Who rose, who fell, who entered and who dropped out — in the world, the country and the city.
After every monthly snapshot studios get a digest of the moves around them: which studios of their city and country went up or down, who is new, who dropped out, and where they stand themselves.
Bulk import of work
Presentation · Voting
Paste a list of URLs or upload a sheet — we shoot every site and add it at once.
Adding work one site at a time is slow for a studio with a hundred projects. Ten4 Design asked for exactly this.
Paste a list of addresses or upload a spreadsheet (URL, client, year). We take a screenshot of every site, read its footer and add the work to your card in one go. You review the batch before it goes public.
Clean addresses everywhere
The register · Shipped
Every view of the register has a readable address: country, city, search, order.
No more question marks in addresses: /country/germany/city/berlin/by/signatures instead of a query string.
Launch report · 9 Sep 2026
All old addresses move to the new ones with a permanent redirect.
Views on the studio card
Presentation · Shipped
A line of views for the last thirty days on every card.
The card shows how often it was opened, day by day, with bots taken out.
Launch report · 22 Oct 2026
Shown on every studio card.
November tops cleaned of non-studios
Recognition · Shipped
856 businesses that are not studios removed from the tops and banned for good.
Before the November letters every studio of every top was read: accountants, logistics and shops out; countries fixed where a phone number misled the register.
Launch report · 1 Nov 2026
A ban in the database keeps them out of every future ranking.
Social networks on the studio card
Studio tools · Voting
Instagram, Behance, Dribbble, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and the rest — linked from the card.
A studio adds its profiles on social networks and portfolio platforms; the card shows them as a row of links, and the register can show follower counts where they are public.
Jobs at studios
Community · Voting
Studios publish vacancies; designers and developers apply.
A studio posts who it is looking for: role, level, city or remote, conditions. Vacancies show on the studio card and in a common list by country, city and role. Candidates see the studio's place, work and team before they apply.
A deep audit of client sites
Studio tools · Voting
For every site in the register: a technical, aesthetic and content audit the studio can use.
The register already reads every signed site. It can go further: speed, errors, accessibility and search readiness on the technical side; layout, typography and imagery on the aesthetic side; texts and structure on the content side. The studio sees the audit of every site it built and can bring it to the client as a reason for the next round of work.
Reviews of work by other studios
Community · Voting
A studio asks peers to review a work — before launch or after — and gets written feedback.
Juries give a score; a review gives reasons. A studio puts a work up for review, other studios write what works and what does not. Reviews before launch stay private to the studio; reviews of published work can be shown on the work with the reviewer's permission.
Any kind of work, not only websites
Presentation · Voting
Branding, print, promo materials, apps, video — a studio shows everything it makes.
Many studios do much more than websites. A work can be a brand identity, packaging, a campaign, posters, an app, a motion piece. Each type gets its own fields and its own place on the card.
Websites keep their signature from the footer; other work is added by the studio itself.
Studio cabinet and "Is this your studio?"
Studio tools · Shipped
A studio signs in, claims its card and edits it.
Sign-in and registration run on the register itself. A studio claims its card, proves the domain and edits its name, description and logo.
Launch report · 11 Sep 2026
The first account opens on 11 September 2026; the first outside studio registers on 14 September.
Services of a studio
Presentation · Shipped
Websites, apps, software, design, marketing, advertising — marked on the card.
A studio marks what it does; the card and the register show it.
Launch report · 24 Sep 2026
Six services, the same list for every studio.
The studio team
Presentation · Voting
Publish the people of the studio: names, roles, faces, and the work each of them did.
Clients hire people, not logos. The studio builds its team in the cabinet: name, role, photo, links. Each person is linked to the works and cases they took part in.
A person who leaves keeps a line on their own profile; the studio keeps the work.
Nomansite apps for phone and desktop
Studio tools · Voting
Do you need Nomansite as an app — on your phone and on your computer? Vote up if yes.
Everything a studio does in the cabinet — requests and deals, messages, the team, places in the rankings, news of the market — could live in an app: on the phone with notifications the moment a client writes, and on the desktop next to the studio's other tools.
Vote this card up if your studio would use such an app, and down if the website is enough.
A watch for hijacked studio domains
The register · Shipped
When a studio closes and its domain is taken over, the card stops speaking for the new owner.
A studio can disappear while its domain lives on with somebody else. A scheduled watch compares the domain's current site with what the studio used to sign.
Launch report · 17 Sep 2026
The watch runs on a schedule and reports every change.
Many countries and cities
Presentation · Voting
A studio names every country and city where it works, not just one — and appears in each of them.
Many studios have offices or people in several cities and countries. A studio lists all its locations; the card shows them, and the studio appears in the register and the city and country pages of each place it works in.
The register learns cities
The register · Shipped
City pages, city rankings and "studios near me".
Every city with three studios or more gets its own page and its own monthly top 10; /near-me finds the closest cities from the browser.
Launch report · 12 Sep 2026
680 cities on the first day, each placed on the map with GeoNames.
Follow a studio
Community · Voting
Subscribe to any studio and see its new work, news, places and team changes in one feed.
A follow button on every card. Followed studios form a feed in the cabinet and, if wanted, a weekly letter: new work, news posts, places in the rankings, awards, people who joined.
The map and the first thousands
The register · Shipped
The first thousands of studios, placed on the map by their addresses.
Studios get a country and a point on the map from OpenStreetMap and their own sites.
Launch report · 10 Aug 2026
Several thousand studios with a country and a place.
Sites added in the cabinet count toward the ranking
Recognition · Shipped
Work a studio adds itself joins its reach once its credit is read.
Sites added by a studio go to the crawler; when the footer confirms the credit, they count toward reach like any other signed site.
Launch report · 20 Oct 2026
Asked for by Clickflame.
Promote your card in the register
Commerce · Voting
A studio raises its card in the register and the rankings of its city and country.
A studio can pay to show its card at the top of the register, of its country and of its city for a chosen period. Promoted cards carry a "Promoted" mark, so visitors can tell them from the order of reach.
The studio stack in detail
Presentation · Voting
What the studio builds with: platforms, frameworks, tools — stated by the studio and seen in its sites.
A studio lists its stack: CMS and platforms, frameworks, design tools, hosting. Next to it the register shows what its signed sites are really built on, read from the sites themselves. Clients can search for studios by technology.
Movement in every ranking
Recognition · Shipped
Who went up, who is new, who came back and who dropped out — for the world, every country and every city.
Every monthly ranking opens as a list: place, movement against last month, last place, peak place, months in the ranking, reach and its growth. Below it — who dropped out this month.
Launch report · 1 Nov 2026
Opened on 1 November 2026 with the November snapshot, for all months and all rankings at once.
Client reviews on the studio card
Commerce · Voting
Clients review the studios that built their sites; the review stands on the studio's card.
A review counts when it comes from a client whose site the studio really built: the client confirms with a letter to an address at their own domain, the same way studios prove theirs.
Reviews show on the card with the site they are about, and the studio can answer each one once.
News on the studio page
Presentation · Voting
A studio posts its news: launches, awards, hires — on its card and in the news of the register.
A short feed on the studio card: a new project launched, an award won, a new person on the team. The best posts also appear in the news of the register and of the studio's city.
A full portfolio, not a single frame
Presentation · Voting
Every work becomes a project page: many images, screens, video and text, laid out by the studio.
Today a work is one cover and one screenshot. A project page lets the studio show the whole thing: a series of screens, mobile views, details, video, text between the images, in the order it chooses.
Project pages open from the studio card and from the showcase of work.
Achievements that mean more
Recognition · Voting
Certificates, marks and badges for places in Nomansite — for the month and for the year.
An achievement on Nomansite should be worth showing. Each place gets a certificate with a QR code that proves it, a badge for the studio's own site that updates itself, and marks that grow with time: a month in the top, a year in the top, several years in a row.
Rankings by profile
Recognition · Voting
Not only websites: separate rankings for apps, logos and brands, databases, AI, big data and more.
A studio that builds mobile apps or brands should not compete with web studios on web reach. Each profile gets its own ranking — websites, apps, logos and brand identity, software and databases, AI, big data — with its own world, country and city tops.
Every signed site has a picture
Presentation · Shipped
A screenshot of each site in the register, in screen proportions.
A dedicated shooter takes a picture of every signed site, closes cookie banners and respects robots.txt.
Launch report · 23 Sep 2026
The first full pass finished on 23 September 2026.
Developers by industry
Recognition · Voting
A list and a ranking of the studios that build for each industry: schools, clinics, churches, charities, real estate and more.
The studios that build the most websites are rarely the famous ones. They work for one industry: school websites, websites for doctors, parishes, charities, estate agents, dentists. The register already knows which client every signed site belongs to.
Each industry gets its own list and its own monthly ranking, by world, country and city: who builds for schools in Britain, for clinics in Germany, for parishes in Poland. A client looking for a studio that knows their field finds it in one place, and a specialist studio gets a place where its specialism shows.
Logo cropper and one avatar across the network
Presentation · Shipped
Crop the studio mark right in the cabinet; your face changes everywhere at once.
A cropper for the studio mark and the person's face, and the avatar travels across every Chakloon service.
Launch report · 22 Sep 2026
Every uploaded mark is prepared in all sizes in advance.
Several people in one studio account
Studio tools · Voting
Invite colleagues to the studio cabinet: the owner, managers, sales — each with their own login and role.
Today one person runs a studio on Nomansite. A studio invites its people by e-mail and gives each a role: owner, manager, sales, editor of the card. Everyone signs in with their own account; the owner sees who changed what, and access ends when a person leaves.
Credits that mean something
Studio tools · Voting
"Who made this website" grows: every credit in a footer is checked, dated and confirmed.
A credit line in a footer is the base of the register, and today anyone can write anything there. Credits become verifiable: the register records when the credit appeared and how long it has stood, the client can confirm it from their own domain, and a credit that contradicts other evidence is marked as disputed. "Who made this website" shows all of it — the studio, since when, confirmed or not.
Studios can add themselves
Studio tools · Shipped
"Add my studio": one question — the address — and an answer whether we know it.
A studio the crawler has not met yet can put its domain in the queue. It enters the register when two other sites signed by it are read.
Launch report · 21 Sep 2026
The explicit "Add my studio" entrance opens on the same day.
Proving a studio by mail
Studio tools · Shipped
No DNS needed: a letter to the studio's own domain proves it is yours.
Many people who claim a studio have no access to DNS. Now a letter to an address at the domain is enough: whoever opens it presses one button.
Launch report · 19 Sep 2026
Since 29 October any address at the domain works, not only service mailboxes.
A new look: the gallery wall
Presentation · Shipped
The register becomes a wall of work: frames of sites with small labels.
A full redesign on the principle of a gallery: colour lives only in the work; studio cards are laid out like a Behance profile.
Launch report · 29 Sep 2026
Every page was redrawn; work of a studio is published as soon as it is sent.
Help button
Studio tools · Shipped
Questions go straight to our support desk; the answer comes by mail and into the button.
A Help button on every page opens a request to the team. Signed-in studios see their requests from any device.
Launch report · 22 Sep 2026
Requests arrive at the support desk of the whole network.
The register opens
The register · Shipped
nomansite.com goes public: every studio has a card, a country and a reach.
The register opens with studio cards, country pages and search. Directories serve only as a list of links to check, never as a source of truth.
Launch report · 31 Aug 2026
Opened on 31 August 2026 to everyone and to search engines.
The roadmap: studios vote on what comes next
Community · Shipped
Five lists of ideas, votes up and down, proposals from studios, and this record of what is done.
Every studio with a proven domain votes on every idea, up or down, and can press again to take the vote back. Ideas sit in five lists: Commerce, Presentation, Community, Recognition and Studio tools, and climb by score. Studios send their own ideas under Your proposals; each is reviewed before it goes to the vote.
Launch report · 1 Nov 2026
Opened on 1 November 2026: the five lists with 42 ideas, Your proposals with an open review queue, and this timeline of 30 launches since 8 June. Signed-in studios that have not voted yet see an invitation once a week.
We removed 1,006 names that were never studios
The register · Shipped
Platforms and brands that slipped in through directories are out, and blocked for good.
A full pass over the register by hand: site builders, marketplaces, brands. Each removed domain is blocked, so it cannot come back.
Launch report · 15 Sep 2026
1,006 domains removed and blocked.
HRM for studios
Studio tools · Voting
People of the studio: hiring, profiles, roles, workload and time off — separate from the CRM.
The team is the studio's main asset. A separate HRM keeps everything about people: candidates from the studio's vacancies, profiles and roles, who works on which project, workload, holidays and time off. The public team on the card is built from it.
"We will take the picture"
Presentation · Shipped
Send a site without a screenshot — the shooter makes one for you.
A site sent from the cabinet without an image is marked, and the shooter takes its picture within the hour.
Launch report · 9 Oct 2026
No work goes public without a picture.
Rankings by stack
Recognition · Voting
Studios ranked inside every technology they build with.
WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Next.js, Bitrix and the rest. We read what each signed site is built on and rank studios inside every stack, by country and city too. A studio strong in one technology gets a place where it shows, even outside the world hundred.
A register of specialists
Community · Voting
Not only studios: the people of the market — designers, developers, managers — with their work and their studios.
Behind every studio are people, and many of them work on their own. Nomansite opens a second register: specialists. Each person has a profile with their role, skills, city, the studios they worked at and the sites and projects they took part in — confirmed by the studios.
Studios find people to hire or to bring into a project; specialists get a record of their work that follows them from studio to studio.
Promo codes for professional contests
Recognition · Voting
From time to time studios get promo codes to enter design and web contests for less, or for free.
Entering Awwwards, CSSDA, FWA and other contests costs money. Nomansite gathers promo codes and free entries from the organisers and hands them out to the studios of the register — first to those with a place in the rankings. Who used them and what they won goes back to the studio's card.
CRM for studios
Studio tools · Voting
Clients and deals in one place: requests, stages, conversations, estimates and invoices.
Requests from the studio card, from Briefs and from tenders gather in one CRM in the cabinet. Each deal moves through stages the studio sets — new, talking, estimate, won, lost — with the conversation with the client and the files attached. An estimate is built from the request, accepted by the client with one button, and turned into an invoice; payment stays with the studio's own bank or payment provider.
Find a partner studio
Community · Voting
Post spare hands or a job you cannot take — another studio picks it up.
Studios overflow and studios sit idle. A board where a studio posts "we need a React team for six weeks" or "we have two designers free in December", and other studios answer.
White label work stays white label: the post can hide the end client.
Price analytics by country, region and city
Commerce · Voting
What a website, an app or a redesign costs here — from the prices of the studios of the register.
Prices stated by studios add up to a map of the market: the median and the spread for each service in each country, region and city, and how they move month to month.
Studios see where they stand against their city. Clients see what a fair price looks like before they ask for quotes. Each city gets a public page — "What a website costs in Berlin, 2026".
Jury: studios with a place judge other studios' work
Recognition · Shipped
Studios in the world hundred and in country tops score other studios' sites.
A studio with a place in a monthly snapshot judges work it did not sign, on a scale of one hundred. The score of a site is the average of its votes.
Launch report · 29 Sep 2026
Opened on 29 September 2026 in the cabinet. The jury section is visible to every studio with a place; studios cannot score their own work. The method is described on the Method page.
Templates of briefs and contracts
Studio tools · Voting
Ready briefs and contracts in several languages that a studio adapts and uses.
Every studio writes the same documents again and again. Nomansite publishes templates — a website brief, an app brief, a branding brief, a development contract, a support contract, a non-disclosure agreement — in the main languages of the register. A studio copies one into the cabinet, adapts it and sends it to a client.
Nomansite in your language
Presentation · Voting
The whole register, the cards and the cabinet in the main languages of its studios.
Studios of the register work in more than a hundred countries, and the site speaks only English. Nomansite gets a full multilingual interface: the register, studio cards, rankings and the cabinet, each language at its own address.
A studio fills its card in its own language and in English; a visitor sees the version of their language.
News of winners for the media
Recognition · Voting
The leaders of every ranking announced to international and national media, in their language.
Every month the register knows the leaders of the world, of each country and of each city. We prepare the news — who leads, who rose, what the figures say — and send it to the media of each country in its language, and to the international press for the world top. Studios get coverage; the register gets known.
What is not a studio
The register · Shipped
Platforms, site builders, hosting, marketplaces — taken out of the count.
A list of domains that sign sites but are not studios: Wix, Tilda, Squarespace, hosting companies, theme shops.
Launch report · 20 Jul 2026
The exclusion list starts; it grows every time we meet a new platform.
Awards from other contests count toward reach
Recognition · Shipped
Awwwards, FWA, CSSDA, Webby and others add to a studio's place.
A studio lists the awards its work received elsewhere, with a link to the award page. An editor checks each one; FWA awards are found automatically. Checked awards add to reach.
Launch report · 22 Oct 2026
Opened on 22 October 2026: the Awards tab in the cabinet, manual check by an editor, FWA picked up automatically, awards included in reach.
A studio names its country, city and address
Presentation · Shipped
The studio sets its place itself; rankings follow.
Country, city and street address are edited in the cabinet. City and country rankings use the place the studio named.
Launch report · 14 Oct 2026
Asked for by Clickflame.
Achievements on the card
Recognition · Shipped
Every place a studio ever held — world, country, city — in one tab.
Places in monthly snapshots turn into achievements; the card shows them all, and the cabinet lists them too.
Launch report · 1 Oct 2026
The world hundred of October received a letter and a seat on the jury.
What can be measured from outside
The register · Shipped
Footers, signatures, links to the studio — the signals that need no permission.
We list what a site tells about its maker without asking: the credit line in the footer, the link to the studio, the meta tags.
Launch report · 22 Jun 2026
Credit lines in footers become the base unit of the register.
Search understands an address
The register · Shipped
Paste a site's address into search and land on the studio that built it.
The search field takes both a studio name and a pasted address. An address leads straight to the studio card or to the card of the site.
Launch report · 13 Sep 2026
Built after a visitor pasted an address and got nothing.
Statistics for your card
Presentation · Shipped
Views of your card and of your work, by day.
The cabinet shows how many people opened your card and each of your works, day by day for thirty days, with bots taken out.
Launch report · 25 Sep 2026
Opened on 25 September 2026 in the cabinet under Statistics. Since 22 October the public card also carries a line of views for the last thirty days.
The first monthly ranking
Recognition · Shipped
A world top 100 and a top 10 for every country, taken on the first of the month.
Reach is the Domain Rating of the studio's site plus that of every site it signed. On the first day of each month the register freezes the order.
Launch report · 1 Sep 2026
September 2026: 100 studios of the world and 868 places in country tops.
Request a quote on the studio page
Commerce · Voting
A client sends a request for a project straight from the studio's card. It lands in the studio's inbox here and in its mail.
Today a client who finds a studio on Nomansite has to leave for the studio's own site and look for a form there. Many never do.
A "Request a quote" button on the card opens a short request: what to build, budget, deadline, contact. It goes only to that studio — by mail and into the cabinet, next to its other requests.
Only studios with a proven domain receive requests. Unclaimed cards keep the button switched off, so nobody else collects a studio's leads.
Site, app and logo of the day and of the month
Recognition · Voting
Our own ratings of work, not only of studios: the best site, app, logo of the day and of the month.
Studios are ranked by reach; work deserves its own spotlight. Every day the jury picks a site of the day, an app of the day, a logo of the day; every month the best of them become the work of the month. Winners get a page, a mark on the work and on the studio card.
Detailed cases
Presentation · Voting
For every work: the task, how long it took, what was done, the result.
A work today is a frame and an address. A case adds the story: what the client needed, how long the project took, who worked on it, what was done and what changed after launch, with figures where the studio has them.
Every case gets its own address and can be shared on its own.
A studio page on its own subdomain
Presentation · Voting
studio.nomansite.com — a designed page of the studio built from its card, work and team.
A studio gets its own address on Nomansite with a page it can style: cover, colours, order of sections, its work, cases, team, places in the rankings and reviews. Small studios without a strong site of their own can use it as one.
Studio prices
Commerce · Voting
A studio states its prices: a range for every service, an hourly rate, the smallest project it takes.
Clients want to know early whether a studio is within reach. A studio fills in its prices in the cabinet: a range from–to for each service it offers, an hourly rate, a minimum project budget, in its own currency. Fixed-price packages can sit next to them — "A landing page in ten days, €1,500".
Prices show on the studio card and feed the search: a client can look for studios in a city within a budget.
The question we started with
The register · Shipped
Who actually built the websites of the world — and how to find out without asking anyone.
The project starts from one question: which studio built a given site, and how many sites each studio really built.
Launch report · 8 Jun 2026
The method is set: count what can be observed from outside, never what studios say about themselves.
A closed forum for the market
Community · Voting
Threads only for studios with a proven domain: questions, advice, opinions — read and written by peers.
A place to talk shop with people who run studios too: pricing, hiring, clients who do not pay, tools that broke. The forum is closed: only studios with a proven domain read and write, and every post carries the studio's name and place, so nobody hides behind a nickname.
Briefs: an exchange of client requests
Commerce · Voting
A client publishes a brief once; the register hands it to the studios that fit, and they reply.
A client describes the job: what to build, budget, deadline, city, sites they like. The register finds studios that fit — by the work they signed, their place, their prices and whether they are taking projects now — and passes the brief to them.
Studios reply with a short note. The client sees every reply next to the studio's place in the rankings, its signed sites and its reviews, and chooses.
Tenders
Commerce · Voting
A client runs a tender on Nomansite; studios take part with their proposals.
For larger projects a client opens a tender: the task, the requirements, the budget, the deadline for proposals and the date of the decision. Studios with a proven domain submit proposals; the client compares them side by side, asks questions in the open and announces the winner.
The tender page stays as a record: who took part, who won, and when.
